Another doozie from the Times

In today's Times (which I now only read to scan for mistakes)their "blog" The Lede" dignifies Rosie O'Donnell's cockamamie 9/11 conspiracy theory by talking seriously about it.

The Lede is the general news blog of the Times and the blogger, Mike Nizza took over in April after spending some years managing the online presentation of the paper's important news stories (ahem, the front page). So now he's a writer!

The Times said:
"The blog aims to be a place where stories and themes plucked from the day's local, national and international news are highlighted and discussed - using the Web and its rich repository of links, archives, images and forums as a resource for adding context, for pushing a thesis further, or for simply sparking a conversation." That rich repository is Mike's playing field and his library.

Maybe Mike should pay a bit more attention to his playing field and library, as in the last sentence of today's blog he sarcastically implies that the Warren Commission was, as many Americans feel, wrong in its conclusions about the Kennedy assassination. Just yesterday in the Times, presumably part of the web's "rich repository of links," they ran a review of the new Vincent Bugliosi book that concludes that Oswald indeed did act alone in his assassination of Kennedy, essentially upholding the findings of the Warren Commission as fact.

I'm glad that I'm not the only one that caught it.
